How It Works!

KIDS OF ALL AGES, BIRTH-18 YEARS, AND ADULTS, CAN EARN PRIZES for reading and completing activities at library events or programs all summer.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Registration opens Monday, May 13.
    • Sign up for the Summer Reading Program at CommunityLibraryNetwork.Beanstack.org beginning Monday, May 13, or in person at one of the eight network libraries. REGISTER EARLY FOR THE MOST PRIZE-EARNING POTENTIAL!
    • Then register for individual events and programs on our calendar!

  1. Log your reading on Beanstack from June 1-August 31 or track your reading with a game board, reading log, or bookmark, available at libraries while supplies last.
    • BIRTH-18 YEARS: Claim your prize at your library when you meet your goal each month!
    • ADULTS: Complete at least one challenge in a category to earn a badge and each badge will equal one entry into the grand prize raffle.

NEW

TWEEN & TEEN CRAFT & BOOK TOTE SUBSCRIPTION BOXES

The Library Network is now offering a FREE teen craft subscription service- Teen Craft Totes!
Open to teens in grades 7-12, the Totes come with books, crafts, and treats selected by your favorite Super Librarians.

HOW IT WORKS:

Sign up each month to receive a tote.
Stop by the library between the 1st and 15th to pick up your tote.
Totes are available on a first come first served basis, while supplies last.
Enjoy your Tote!

HYGIENE HAMPERS

Hampers are available at each of our library locations to provide support for children and teens.
Items may include shampoo, soap, lotion, lip balm, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, diapers, baby formula, hats, socks, and sunscreen.
Hygiene Hampers are sponsored by the Friends of the Community Library Network, United Way of North Idaho, and through generous donations from members of the community.

Teen Volunteers

Looking For Something Fun To Do This Summer?!

Apply to be a teen volunteer

Volunteers help with programs, crowd control, program preparation, general office work, and more.
Open to teens and young adults, ages 12-18.

Reading Recommendations

Looking for a great summer read, but not sure where to start? Complete the online form letting us know what you like and don’t like, and we will find titles we hope you will love.

Once your books are ready, we will contact you for pick-up. Happy Reading!

Community Hikes

Join us at Farragut State Park, Rathdrum Mountain, or the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes for a community hike!

Learn about the history of our well-loved Farragut State Park, as well as the flora and fauna that call Farragut, Rathdrum Mountain, and the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes home.

Please wear sensible shoes for uneven terrain, bring a water bottle and hat, and sunscreen is advised. For all ages.
